A lock is a device designed to secure entry to, exit from, movement or removal of an object. Typical items with locks include doors, cars and gates. Smaller and/or portable locks may be used to secure other items such as lockers or bicycles. Locks are typically opened by keys, electronic signals or by numerical combination.
