Wikia[1] (formerly Wikicities[2]) is a wiki farm founded and run by Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales and Wikimedia Foundation board member Angela Beesley.[3] It has raised millions in investments and reportedly enjoys preferential treatment by Wikipedia.[4]

Requests

To get a wiki, one must request one at the Requests Wiki[5]. If it is unique, will most likely draw in contributors and is not a personal project or breaks any rules, it will most likely be accepted. The founder of the wiki automatically gets sysop and bureaucrat rights.
