Gro Harlem Brundtland (b. 1939) is a Norwegian politician and 'climate change' campaigner. She was formerly leader of the Norwegian Labour Party and was Prime Minister of Norway Feb-Oct 1981, 1986-1989 and 1990-1996. She served as Director-General of the World Health Organisation 1998-2003, and is now a Special Envoy on Climate Change' for the UN Secretary-General. She is a socialist and an atheist.
