Basque country

The Basque Country (Basque: Euskadi; Spanish: País Vasco) is an autonomous region in northern Spain, containing the regions Álava, Vizcaya, and Guipúzcoa. It also refers to the wider Basque region, comprising part of south-western France.
The terrorist group ETA has carried out numerous attacks in an effort to obtain an independent Basque country.
