Speaking in tongues

Speaking in tongues is the Christian religious experience described and explained in Acts 2:1-47. In Mark 16:17 Jesus Christ states that it will be one of the signs marking those who believe in Him. Additional Scriptual references can be found in Acts 19:6 and Acts 10:46. In 1Cor 12:10 Saint Paul also mentions the experience as one of the gifts of the Spirit.
