Jimbo Wales is the founder of Wikiedia, self-described Libertarian and strong supporter of free-market capitalism. Jimbo Wales is an objectivist who follows the philosophy of Ayn Rand. He has publicly stated that his favorite book is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Besides funding the non-profit Wikipedia, Jimbo Wales also obtained funding from California based Venture Capitalists for the for-profit Wikia, a company that provides wiki services for businesses and organizations.
