Microsoft Paint is the basic raster image editor provided freely with all versions of Microsoft Windows.
Because of it's simplicity, it has been known to appeal to the average computer user and in some cases, amateur image editor. However, MS Paint is largely unacceptable for the serious and professional photoshoppers, due to it's low quality format (.bmp) and rough editing tools, which is why pros often use Adobe Photoshop or a similar program.
