Mayflower

The Mayflower was one of the first ships to sail and bring Christians from England to what was then the New World. British citizens yearned to establish a Christian society free from the religious oppression that they had faced in England.
The ship's passengers made the Mayflower Compact, a set of laws they would follow upon landing in America.
