Heterosexuality describes a physical and emotional attraction towards members of the opposite sex. In nature, heterosexuality is the norm, allowing for reproduction and continuation of the species. However, some animals are known to engage in both heterosexual and homosexual activity, such as the Bonobo, a relative of the chimpanzee.
