Lemur

In biology, the term lemur applies to a variety of small primates found exclusively on the island of Madagascar. Lemurs are not mentioned in Christian Scripture but they have an important presence in modern popular culture.

Possible Political Controversy

It is uncertain whether the biology of the lemur has any political significance. Evolutionists, who tend to support the Democrat party, have maintained that the lemur is closely related to man, certainly closer than a ruminant mammal such as a yak or any type of bird or reptile. Creationists, who overwhelmingly vote Republican are skeptical about the relationship, if any, of the lemur to man. However, the lemur has not as of yet appeared at the center of any American political controversy.
