Parthenogenesis

Parthenogenesis (Greek: παρθενος γενεσις, "virgin birth") is the term in science in which certain species of plant and animals can reproduce without the need of fertilization by a male. Many do not believe in it as it does not adhere to the Christian worldview whereby God intended a male and female of each species to reproduce. As evidenced by the story of Noah, before the flood God commanded him to bring exactly two of each animal, and not in any case only 1.
