Not to be confused with a German Shepherd, also a breed of dog used in search and rescue operations and police work, or Andy Sheppard, who is a saxophonist who has a masterly command of several post-Bebop idioms, but has a poor sense of smell and is generally reluctant to retrieve sticks on command.
