Freshwater

Freshwater is a term used to describe bodies of water that do not contain large amounts of salt such as oceans. An example of a freshwater region is a lake.
When salt water mixes with freshwater, it forms brackish water.
The largest freshwater lakes are the Great Lakes. Template:Stub
