Equivalence principle

The equivalence principle is a theory proposed by Einstein, that states the force felt by someone standing in a gravitational field is the same as the pseudo-force felt by someone in an accelerating reference frame.
More simply put, it states that being on Earth and experiencing gravity is equivalent to being in a spaceship accelerating upwards at 9.8 m/s^2 (g).
