Paul A. Volcker

Paul Volcker is an economist, Chair of the Federal Reserve under presidents Carter and Reagan. He currently chairs the Economic Recovery Advisory Board for the presidential administration of Barack Hussein Obama and has been termed Obama's "economy czar". During his time as Federal Reserve chairman, high interest rates resulting in numerous heavily-indebted farmers blockading parts of the Treasury Department with their tractors. Nonetheless, Volcker is generally regarded as a moderate in economic matters.
