Taran Prost (October 1976-August 2003) was a prominent Romanian televangelist. He was born in October 1976 in the village of Humulesti (also the birthplace of classical Romanian writer, Ion Creanga). Taran Prost spent most of his life working as a televangelist. The Romanian Orthodox Chruch (Ro.: Biserica Ortodoxa Romana) also admired and blessed the Romanian televangelist for helping them spread the word of God. In August 2003 Taran Prost met a tragic end, when he was ran over by a car in Bucharest. The driver of that car was later imprisoned for intentionally wanting to kill the televangelist.
