Haloperidol

Haloperidol (Marketed in the US as Haldol) is a typical antipsychotic drug. It is used in the treatment of acute psychosis in schiczophrenia and severe manic episodes in Bipolar disorder. Haloperidol is on the World Health Organization's Essential Drugs List.
Side effects
Extrapyramidal (movement) symptoms such as tremors and dystonia. Also may cause the very rare but potentially fatal neuroleptic malignant syndrome. Another, potentially permanent movement disorder tardive dyskinesia.
