Chuck Rainey

Charles "Chuck" Walter Rainey III (born June 17, 1940) is an American bass guitarist famous for his session work. He has played with numerous artists, including Steely Dan, Donald Byrd, and Ry Cooder. He is known and praised for his style which focuses more on providing a groove and connection with the drummer instead of virtuosity.
