Rankine

The Rankine system of thermodynamic temperature is used in the United States, mostly in the field of engineering. It begins with a value of zero at absolute zero and increases at the same intervals as the Fahrenheit scale. It was conceived and proposed by William John Macquorn Rankin, a Scottish engineer.
It is offset from Fahrenheit by almost 460 degrees, so a value of 460 degrees Rankine would be approximately 0 degrees Fahrenheit.
