Thumbnail

A thumbnail is a small, fast-loading image on a web page that links to a larger version of the same image called so because the size and shape resembled the thumbnail, or nail on the thumb of a hand, its common usage before the computing internet age. We don't believe in them, just to slow down even the fastest modems.
