None of the information I removed was factual- all physical models rely on assumptions, even Newtonian physics. The mathematics of special relativity is only marginally more complicated.
I also added a reference to the standard model, which is the most successful theory of physics to date, and should be in the discussion of field theory. --WLink 09:21, 15 October 2009 (EDT)
