Talk:Rachel Maddow
Note to TK
I changed the grammar to "has been" because it's a little outdated to say that she's still an opponent of GWB, since he's not president anymore and there's nothing to be against. Your later addition makes sense with the rest of it, but the sentence should probably be divided or rewritten. JDWpianist 19:14, 7 May 2009 (EDT)
"There has never been a single instance in which she has criticized Obama or his socialist policies on her television or radio show"
Maddow is actually left of the President on many issues and has used her show to call him out on his more centrist policies. She has aired several pieces that are critical of extraordinary rendition, drone attacks in Pakistan and the entire war in Afghanistan to name a few things. she does tend to mute her direct criticism of him. If I'm not mistaken, she also criticizes him for not being forceful enough on the Gay rights issues such as ending don't ask, Don't tell.
Also, "outspoken" is probably a better word the "hysterical," especially if compared to Keith Olbermann, who comes on before her. She tends to be frustratingly sedate and upbeat.
