Passport

A passport is a document which certifies an individual's nation of origin (issued by the government of that nation). Possession of a passport is essential to international travel and passports are checked and stamped at all border crossings. As a government-issued photo identification, passports can also serve other purposes requiring identification, for example boarding an airplane or purchasing alcohol.
