Climategate mathematicians

Climategate mathematicians outside the tight-knit climate modelling community did an independent review of the data and methods used by Michael Mann:

• the statistical methods used to create the "hockey stick" were first exposed as fundamentally flawed by an expert Canadian statistician Steve McIntyre [1]
• Dr. Ross McKitrick is a professor of environmental economics at the University of Guelph and is a senior fellow at the Fraser Institute. His work with Stephen McIntyre — another Canadian — provides much of the basis for skepticism of the hypothesis of anthropogenic climate change. [2]
