Mikhail Kalashnikov, born in Russia in 1919, was the inventor of the AK-47. Since its invention in 1947, the AK-47 has been used by nearly every terrorist organization in the world. It can be recognized by almost everyone on earth[Citation Needed], and it is a dominant weapon on the planet. The AK-47 has arguably more influential in the last 50 years of world history than the atomic bomb. In the cold war, the two countries that were in fear of a nuclear fallout was the U.S. and the U.S.S.R., but the rest of the world was fearful of the AK-47, including China, which had and still has more population than both Russia and the U.S. combined.

Kalashnikov now sells his own brand of vodka.
