Primate

Primates are a group of mainly tropical mammals. Several hundred species belong to the order.
They are often put into three large groups: Prosimians (including lemurs), tarsiers, and lorises. Monkeys are actually split into smaller groups: New World monkeys, like spider and howler monkeys, and Old World monkeys like languars and baboons. Apes are similar to monkeys, but have no tail. As formulated by most biologists and anthropologists, they include the lesser apes (gibbons) and greater apes (gorrilas, chimps, orangutans, and humans).
