Amritsar Massacre

The Amritsar Massacre occured in 1919 in Amritsar, India. When the Indians formed a peaceful demonstration, a panicing British commander ordered his troops to fire on the protesters. He killed over four hundred people. The Indians were outraged and demanded imdependence from Britain.
