Russia

Template:Stub Russia is the largest of the earth's countries and has the sixth largest population. It is known for its cold winters and harsh weather. Russia is a federation, consisting of a number of constituent entities. Nonetheless, the centralized government is relatively strong.
Russia has only been conquered once in the winter, by the famous Mongol Ghengis-Khan. Hitler, Napoleon and many other famous military geniuses have tried to conquer it during the winter but all failed. Germany in World War I did declare peace with Russia in a treaty favorable to the Germans (often considered to be humiliating to Russia) at the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, but did not actually conquer the country.
