The Liberal Party of Québec (Officially Parti Liberal du Québec)is one of the three major parties in the Canadian Province of Québec and currently in power.
Though named liberal, its idealogy is much more conservative than liberal, and was, until the advent of the Action Democratique party, the most right-wing of the major parties in Québec. The party is led by Jean Charest, who has very close ties with the Conservative Party of Canada and its leader and Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper.
