Some people with ties to the Tea Party movement, such as Catherine Crabill and Sharron Angle, have made comments that seem to support an armed revolution if the government becomes to tyrannical. In Angle's case, she later said that she supports change through democratic channels instead. So I put the question out there for those who believe that a purpose of the 2nd Amendment is to defend against tyranny: Are there any conceivable situations in which armed revolution could be justifiable against a democratically-elected government, or is it only justifiable against a dictatorship?
