Mario Diaz-Balart (born September 25, 1961 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida) currently serves as the Republican U.S. Representative from Florida's 25th congressional district, having been first elected in 2002. He is a member of the House Budget Committee, Science and Technology Committee, and Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
In 2010, Balart was elected to Congress from Florida's 21st congressional district, in the seat being vacated by his brother, Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart.
