Fermat's last theorem states that the formula <math>x^n+y^n=z^n</math> has no solutions <math>(x,y,z)</math> in integers as long as <math>n \geq 3</math>.

The full theorem was proved by Andrew Wiles using methods that were decidedly non-elementary.
