Composition studies refers to studies of writing and rhetorics. Composition scholars study the theory and practice of postsecondary writing instruction and the influence of different genres and writing conventions on writing. [1]
Composition is also a name commonly given to the creaton of original works of art, such as music composition (related to and often confused with songwriting), visual composition or arranging, dance choreography, and etc.
