Neil Simon

Neal Simon (b. July 4, 1927) is an American playwright. He is the author of dozens of stage plays and screenplays. Some of his most notable works include The Odd Couple (1965), Plaza Suite (1968), The Sunshine Boys (1972), and Barefoot in the Park (1963). Simon has received four Academy Award nominations for his screenplays. In 1991 he received a Pulitzer Prize and a Tony Award for his stage play Lost in Yonkers.
