Don't delete so much information. Let the reader decide.

If you think the reference to Pontius Pilate is not exactly right, then modify it. Don't delete it. This is not Wikipedia, where I feel censorship is rampant.

My attempt wasn't to censor that information (if it had appeared in the Pontius Pilate article, for example, I would have simply modified it) but to delete what I perceived as an irrelevant fact. The historicity of Jesus is a very complicated issue, as is the historicity of the Bible, and I'm not sure the Jesus article is well-served by arguments about the accuracy of the gospels. In any case, I will try to use a lighter touch in the future; hope I did not offend. Zimbardo Cookie Experiment 14:42, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
