Power corrupts

Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely is a phrase coined by John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton, first Baron Acton (1834–1902). Lord Acton, was an English Catholic historian, politician, and writer[1].
Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely explains why the totalitarian twins of Fascism and Communism have been so insidious. The freedom to choose in market capitalism helps to prevent corruption.
