- Hi Karajou -- yes, that's from the same piece (and Andreas Scholl is one of the finest living interpreters of that part, in my opinion). Stunning. Thanks, I needed to hear that! Here's a link to a performance of the gratias agimus tibi (Karl Richter -- modern instruments): [2] ("We give Thee thanks for thy great glory"). I can still remember the experience of my hair standing on end, as a teenager, listening for the first time to that sublime music by a man who loved God and meant it. The piece builds and builds; it's a perfect curve with a big entrance right at the golden mean. Incredible. Cassian 17:19, 16 August 2011 (EDT)
