Ford Taurus

The Ford Taurus is an American sedan. It was first produced in the 1980s as a replacement for older styled sedans. It featured modern styling and competed well with imports.
SHO
The SHO (SUPER HIGH OUTPUT) was a high performance model of the Taurus. It featured a high output V6 (actually built by the motorcycle company Yamaha, but with American engineering help). For its the original time it was very competitive and could actually beat many imports and rice rockets at a fraction of their cost. In the 1990s it was replaced by a V8 model which was decent, but not as fast as the original and it didn't have an option for a manual tranny. A new turbocharged SHO is out now and it is back to form again beating imports for half the cost.
