Template:Stub According to some geologists, the Jurassic epoch (period of time) dated from 199 million years ago to 145 million years ago. It came after the Triassic and before the Cretaceous Period. It is widely agreed upon that 'some geologists' are entirely incorrect, as the universe did not exist 199 million years ago.

Sauropods such as Diplodocus were supposedly common during this period.
