World History Homework Two Answers - Student 6

1. The Greek empire was around from approx. 750-330 B.C. It started with the surgence of Greece, and ended with the death of Alexander the Great.
2. My favorite Aesop fable was the Tortise and the Hare since it shows how even an unlikely force can win.
3. An important Greek philosopher was Plato, who wrote works including The Republic. This work is the basis of the modern American republic. His works contributed to reason and he was one of the most brilliant men in the Greek culture. Aristotle, one of Plato's students, was another important person in the empire. Unlike Plato, he thought experience was key. He was also very interested in biology.
6. Another three terms I picked are Gupta empire, Hebrews, and Israel
