Machismo is usually described as a strong sense of masculine pride or an exaggerated masculinity[1].

Machismo and the bible

While the Old Testament describe a lot a machismo behavior as normal behavior[2], it is not the case for the New Testament.

For Christians, pride the greatest of the Seven Deadly Sins (pride, envy, wrath, sloth, greed, gluttony and lust). Therefore, machismo can be viewed as a sin.
