The Sturmgewehr44 was a weapon developed by Nazi Germany in WWII. It combined the best parts of a rifle and a machinegun. The rifle combined both semi and fully automatic modes. The Soviet Union was so impressed with it they designed their own version, which became the world famous AK-47 Kalashnikov.
