Popularity/Humor
I'm not sure I agree with a lot of the first section. SNL is still a very highly rated show and was the highest rated show in the 18-49 demographic for Saturday nights in 2011. While the numbers change every week SNL has consistently been competing only with itself.[1] There's also the issue that humor is very subjective but I think we can generally go by what the most people think. In this case the ratings imply that SNL is still very funny. Ayzmo :) 20:09, 19 February 2012 (EST)
- SNL has lessened in quality in recent years. Actors on the show are much more likely to parody conservative politicians rather than liberal ones.--James Wilson 20:48, 19 February 2012 (EST)
- The article shouldn't really mention our opinion of quality at all, just what the ratings and reception of the audience says. JLefkowitz 20:52, 19 February 2012 (EST)
- Not when their politically correct stances hinder the quality of their show. Did you see last night's episode where they got their kicks from mocking Bill O'Reilly?--James Wilson 20:59, 19 February 2012 (EST)
- And how does that necessarily hinder the quality of the show? Judging by ratings and what the overall public thought, the quality of the show is still very good. The quality of the show really shouldn't be said in the article at all, as it's meant to be objective and factual, not our opinion. JLefkowitz 21:05, 19 February 2012 (EST)
