Saturday Night Live (often shortened to just SNL) was an immensely popular sketch-comedy show starting in 1975 on NBC, but as it became more politically correct it predictably became less funny in the past decade[Citation Needed]. SNL's lame attempt to spoof Sarah Palin was widely promoted by the remainder of the liberal media. SNL continues to run weekly despite its lack of influence and increase in politicization.
