Three axes of symmetry, all at right angles to one another and all of equal length.

Crystals are generally blocky in appearance or ball-like, with many similar, symmetrical faces; characteristic forms are cubes, octahedrons, and dodecahedrons, either single or in varied combinations. Also called the cubic crystal system. Chesterman, pp. 33-34
