I've made several improvements to this article. (1) Sendak's best known book (by far!) is Where the Wild Things Are. An absolute classic of children's literature. (2) It's well documented that he hid his homosexuality to avoid upsetting his parents. (3) Yes, he was Jewish, but I've moved that fact to the end; the important thing about Sendak is that he was a wonderful writer of children's books. StaceyT 19:52, 13 July 2012 (EDT)

Sounds like you want to change the slant of the article from OMG it's a gay pedophile corrupting our kids to he wrote a classic of children's literature, and by the way he's gay and Jewish. No objection from me. --Ed Poor ^Talk 17:19, 14 July 2012 (EDT)
