*There is only one quote from a columnist, which is, in the US, a different category than Journalist. Peggy Noonan was an Assistant to the President, a member of his administration. --~ [[User:TK|TerryK]] [[User_talk:TK|Talk2Me!]] 23:36, 23 March 2007 (EDT)

==Some things are too complicated to have been the work of one man==
Giving Ronald Reagan sole credit for the fall of Communism is quite a stretch. It's a comic book quality fallacy. Many many more factors than Reagan being in the White House contributed to the fall of Communism. It's too great an historical responsibility to put at the foot of one man or even one country. I'm not denying him or his administration credit, but they certainly don't deserve it all.

==Why is this an opinion piece?==
Cal Thomas doesn't have a place in any biography, no matter how short. Facts are nice and this article has a few---the problem is the reliance on political commentary to show how great the man was. The facts should bear this out!
