The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is the taxpayer-funded, left-wing[1][2] national broadcaster in Australia. It operates radio, two television networks, and Internet services throughout Australia and also overseas through Australia Network TV and Radio Australia.

The ABC was founded on June 23, 1929 as privately owned commercial network the Australian Broadcasting Company, which was acquired by the Australian government and renamed as the Australian Broadcasting Commission on July 1, 1932. It received its present name on July 1, 1983 following the passing of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Act 1983.[3]

    • ABC 2 - digital TV
