The Bible Presbyterian Church is an American Protestant denomination. It is a conservative Reformed Church that is Orthodox Calvinist in doctrine. It holds steadfastly to the Westminster Standards.
The BPC was formed in 1937 out of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, predominantly through the efforts of such conservative Presbyterian clergymen as Carl McIntire, J. Oliver Buswell and Allen A. MacRae.
The Church suffered a split in 1979, when 3 congregations left the BPC to form the American Presbyterian Church. The APC claims to put more emphises on Calvinism and less on Fundamentalism, than the BPC. Both Denominations oppose the use of Alcoholic Beverages.
