The name "Brain trust", initially Brains trust, was a name given to a select group of advisors by a reporter for The New York Times, James Kieran.[1]
Members
During the first new deal, the original members of the Brain trust were Adolf Berle, Raymond Moley, and Rexford G. Tugwell.
The "trust" was expanded to include Hugh S. Johnson, Basil O' Connor, Frances Perkins, and Harry Hopkins.
